Lightweight Fly Shop was built around a simple idea: fly fishing should be approachable, well-informed, and rooted in time spent on the water, not hype. We’re a small, independent shop based in the Bitterroot Valley, focused on helping anglers fish better, travel lighter, and enjoy the places that brought them here in the first place.

Our background is a mix of guiding, retail, photography, and decades of fly fishing across Western Montana and beyond. We’ve floated rivers, waded small water, missed takes we still think about, and learned the hard way what gear actually holds up when conditions change. Everything we carry is selected with that experience in mind. If it’s on the shelf, it’s because we trust it.
