🎉 Happy New Year from Lightweight Fly Shop – Our First Lap Around the Sun

If 2025 had a motto, it would’ve been:
“Build the shop. Meet the people. Don't screw it up.”

We opened the doors with big ideas, a wall of flies, and a lot of hope. What we didn’t expect was how quickly this community would rally around us—and turn a little fly shop dream into something real.

What 2025 Taught Us (In No Particular Order):

• There’s no such thing as “too many coffee runs” during hopper season

• Everyone says they don’t need more flies... until they walk past the bins

• Guides are the best (and most brutally honest) product testers

• Art matters—especially when it brings the river home

• Local support isn’t just a feel-good slogan—it’s the backbone of small business

• The fly fishing community is as generous, hilarious, and weirdly obsessed with gear as we are

• If you build it (and stock it with quality gear), they will come

A Few Highlights from Our First Year:

✅ Brought in killer brands like St. Croix, Bozeman Flyworks, Bajío, and Tornado Anchors
✅ Welcomed local artists like Jodi Monahan and Casey Underwood to the shop
✅ Helped first-time anglers pick out their first setups
✅ Cheered on kids learning to cast in the parking lot
✅ Answered a lot of “what’s working right now?” questions (we love those, keep ’em coming)
✅ And maybe—just maybe—helped a few fish get fooled along the way

In 2026, we plan to:

• Host more events
